Photo Exhibit

WW Knight Nature Preserve, Friends’ Green Room, 29530 White Road. Perrysburg

See the beauty of Wood County at the photo exhibit. Photos entered into the 2021 Friends of the Parks photo contest are printed and framed on display at the WW Knight Nature Preserve in the Friends Green Room. No registration is needed. The Photo Exhibit is free and open to all.

Paddling Prep: Logistics & Safety Informational

Paddling without planning could make for a serious situation very quickly. Equip yourself with knowledge of environmental conditions, logistics, and personal ability from Wood County Park accredited instructors and trip leaders to ensure your future adventures are safe and enjoyable. Also, get connected with our schedule of kayak and canoe trips and classes to take your paddling to the next level. This is an informational presentation – no paddling.

Baking Build-up

Eco Explorers: Off-Trail Discovery Series

If you are up for challenging terrain, hostile woodland vegetation and no amenities other than what you bring with you, then join us as we explore the least traveled parts of the Wood County Parks. There is no set agenda on how we will choose to explore. We may wander a half mile or 3 miles. There will be spring wildflowers blooming so feel free to bring a camera. From novice to expert, learn strategies for taking the leap into production agriculture. Monthly Mindfulness

Give yourself permission to get away to reconnect and relax. Join naturalist and meditation teacher Emma Taylor for a monthly nature-based mindfulness session at a local Wood County Park. Full Pink Moon Walk

Animals Crafts for Toddlers

This program is a history, science and art lesson all rolled into one! A craft project will engage kids in learning about the animals on the farm and why farmers raised them. Art in Park: Learn How to Make Nature Ink

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own art supplies? Join us for this class on nature-based ink making.

Wild Ride Bike Tour

Saturday, April 30; 10- 11:30 am

Black Swamp Preserve, 1014 S. Maple St, Bowling Green

Cyclists and runners aren’t the only creatures that call the SET home! Join in on this no-drop group bike ride and learn about and spot wildlife and habitats that surround the Slippery Elm Trail. Ride pace average 12-15 mph. The program will entail a round trip from the Black Swamp Preserve in Bowling Green to the Rudolph Bike Park in Rudolph, a 10-mile ride.
